Style Workshops

Jewellery allows you to express your individuality, your style & your mood.

Thanks to a few Parisian couturiers costume jewellery has become accessible & acceptable since the 1920s.

This is the decade & the decades following which have given me so much inspiration for my own designs. Whether you love the jewellery of the modernist 1920s, glamorous 1950s, futuristic necklaces of the 1960s, Madonna’s 1980s or a global village ethnic then these style workshops are for you! Etelage offers two style workshops: delicately formed vintage & chunky eclectic tribal. You can choose from one of our many DIY projects or be inspired & create your own. You are the designer in all style workshops unless specified.

Workshop Vintage Style:

Design your own statement necklace or chandelier earrings using filigree stampings, stones, French jet, cameos & crystals. (see inspirational designs & DIY projects below)

 Workshop Tribal Style:

Tribal has been a “contemporary” look since the 1920s. Artists & designers have all been inspired by the primitive. Jewellery designers over the decades have used natural materials such as:

  • wood, seeds, nuts, feathers,
  • turquoise, coral,
  • shell, horn & bone

to create natural & exotic tribal pieces of usually over scaled proportions.

Create some tribal accents & ethnic inspired accessories.

Design your own statement necklace, wrap around bracelet or gypsy chandelier earrings.

(see inspirational designs below)
